Dr Bhavna Mukund is an Associate Professor and Founding Head of the Dept. in Clinical Psychology. She has obtained her PhD in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India, MPhil in Clinical Psychology from NFSU- Gujarat, India which is RCI recognized. She has completed her M.A., in Psychology from the University of Delhi, and her Bachelor’s in Arts from the University of Lucknow, India. She qualified UGC Net exam in the years 2013 and 2014.

She has several research papers published in UGC and Scopus-indexed journals. She has chapters written in national and international books. She has guided a few MPhil dissertations.

She has worked in several government and non-government organizations – to name a, worked as an Assistant professor in Amity and CIIMHANS for MPhil., worked as Clinical Psychologist under DMHP-Firozabad, She has worked in DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization) as a researcher, she has handled a six months project on Psycho-social wellbeing of prison inmates in Delhi at Tihar Central Jail, she has been in panel of a psychologist for District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Women and Child Development Program, Gurugram, India. She has also served in the Indian Air Force as Psychologist for 2 years.

She is currently working to develop social and emotional learning curriculum for children in India. Her primary interest lies in the field of Clinical psychology. She would like to explore the causes, symptoms, prevention and rehabilitation of people with mental disorders, mentally challenged and children with intellectual disabilities and also explore new methodologies and techniques including new arenas in positive psychology and mindfulness meditation in conducting psychotherapeutic intervention.
